Bob Marley & The Wailers - Survival: Jamaican Reissue(Vinyl LP)
Numbered and Pressed Exclusively at the Legendary Tuff Gong International Headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica; Mastered by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters in Los Angeles
The Marley Family, Tuff Gong, and UMe commemorate Bob Marley's 78th birthday with the release of twelve Bob Marley vinyl LPs, each numbered and pressed exclusively at the legendary Tuff Gong International headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica, featuring nine original studio albums and two original live albums, plus the world's best-selling reggae album, Legend, all including a highly-desirable Tuff Gong stamp. The albums were pressed at Tuff Gong's newly refurbished vinyl pressing plant, which re-opened in the summer of 2020 and has an annual capacity of 250,000 units. Each album was mastered by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters in Los Angeles.
Bob Marley and the Wailers' closed out the '70s with the fist-pumping and politically charged Survival. The 10-track wake up call to humanity at large is anchored by the confrontational tracks "So Much Trouble in the World," "Zimbabwe" and "Africa Unite." Marley's support for the struggles of Africans brought attention to their plight and he became an honored guest on that continent, including performing in 1980 at the celebration of Zimbabwe's Independence Day. Numbered and pressed exclusively at the legendary Tuff Gong International headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica.
